Events

This year we had record numbers of students presenting in the AIAA history session, and other student mentees presented technical papers, including one high school student, Kara Gaiser, mentored by Rachel Tillman. Kara presented on

Daniel Black (SDSU) co-authored a paper with Gary Fogel on the history of Albert Adams Merrill.

Madison Cicchitto (SDSU) co-authored a paper with Gary Fogel on the history of Maxine Dunlap.

Mengchen Li (UCSD) co-authored a paper with Gary Fogel on the history of Feng Ru. Mengchen was at the time at UCSD and has since moved on to UCLA for his grad studies in materials science.

Student Liam Mays attended SciTech for fun and experience. Liam was a student of Gary Fogel in a virtual class 2019 when covid first arrived, and SciTech was the first day they met in person. Gary Fogel writing another paper for the session on Dale Drake.
